About Me

I'm just an indie author doing this thing garage-band style. I like reading and writing all kinds of books in all kinds of genres. When in doubt, I remember Henry James's dictum, and I try to write something instructive or amusing.    

I now much prefer reading eBooks to reading physical books. I simply find them more affordable and convenient. 

I like sports movies. Major League and White Men Can't Jump are probably my two favorite. Those and a little-known HBO Original film from back in the 80s called Long Gone. 

My favorite writers are Ernest Hemingway and Jack Kerouac. I like both of their first novels (The Sun Also Rises and On the Road), and I like both of the books they wrote later in their lives in which they reflect on their artistic apprenticeship (A Moveable Feast and The Vanity of Duluoz). You can learn a lot about writing by reading those four books.

Here are eight music stations I have preset on my SiriusXM in my car: TikTok Radio, 90s on 9, Lithium, Hair Nation, Ozzy's Boneyard, L.L. Cool J's Rock the Bells, Shade45, and Real Jazz.  

I want this website to become more than a place where you can find my books and read my blog. I want to make it into a resource that helps you find cool stuff.
