I like reading and writing all kinds of books in all kinds of genres. I have come to prefer reading eBooks to reading physical books. I simply find them more affordable and convenient. Filling your digital library with good books is the smartest thing you can do with your smart phone. 

My favorite writers are Ernest Hemingway and Jack Kerouac. I like both of their first novels (The Sun Also Rises and On the Road), and I like both of the books they wrote later in their lives in which they reflect on their artistic apprenticeship (A Moveable Feast and The Vanity of Duluoz). You can learn a lot about writing by reading those four books.

I like sports and sports movies. Major League and White Men Can't Jump are probably my two favorite. Those and a little-known HBO Original film from back in the 80s called Long Gone.
